Submitting a Self-Assessment

Submitting a Self-Assessment

To submit the Self-Assessment to HMRC you will need to select the Submit to HMRC option under Review and File, scroll to the bottom of the page and first click the Validate Submission button (this will send the submission to HMRC’s test server to check for any errors). Once the validation is successfulyou can click on the Submit to HMRC button which will fully submit the Self-Assessment to HMRC.

(Please note that the 'Validate Submission' option is not mandatory. You can ship this and make a live submission to HMRC by clicking the Submit to HMRC button).

Once this has successfully been submitted to HRMC the client will receive a notification on their mobile and the Tax Return Status will have changed to Approved. They will be given the option to review the Tax Return and will also be provided with the option to make the tax payment.

This will re-direct the client to HRMC’s website where they will then need to follow the necessary steps to make the tax payment due.
