How to process dividends and produce a dividend voucher
To process dividends for limited company profiles you will have to of first set up shares for the directors/shareholders. Once this has been done, go to the main dashboard of the client in question, click on the Advanced button in the top right-hand corner and then click on the New Dividend button under Dividends.
Within the Pay Dividend page, it will show information such as the date in which the dividends will be paid, the different shareholders and the amount that can be issued to each shareholder. Once the chosen amount has been entered within the Dividend Distribution field (depending on the Reserves Available figure), click on the Pay button in the top right-hand corner. This will then reflect as Dividends Issued under the Dividends section within the Advanced Dashboard.
To view the Dividend Voucher, go to the Advisor Tools drop-down at the top of the page and select Dividend List. Click on the PDF icon within the View column to view the dividend voucher which can be shared with the shareholder and can used for Self-Assessments.
